Very often we hear advices about how we should avoid dinner. It is, at least, completely untrue to say. Anyone who is serious about the healthy food will not impose such statement.
Going to bed with empty stomach is more than inadvisable. Besides causing
extraordinary stress for the entire body, hunger slows metabolism. In
situations of frequent starvation,
the organism acquires the habit to accumulate energy to be able to function. This means that the body acts as the precise mechanism. In order to
have more energy needed digestion will slow down, in order to keep the food longer
in the body.
Organism will accumulate required substances to defend itself off starvation in the future. This all leads to weight gain. This does not mean that you have to overeat in the evening. For the body is
extremely burdensome if we go
to bed with full stomach.
This will lead to poor sleep, difficulty
in digestion, and even nausea.
For dinner you should eat a light, low-fat
foods (yogurt, a
piece of fried chicken, a slice
of whole grain bread, a light salad, boiled egg, etc.) Also, it is important to have dinner at least an hour before going to bed, so we will not burden our digestive system just before sleep.
A healthy breakfast is perhaps the
most important meal to start the day,
but for good end of the day and nice sleep healthy dinner is
the most important.
