COCONUT MILK

This milk is great for those who, for example, are allergic to dairy products, but also for those who want a healthy source of fat that are on a diet or who simply want the drink that refreshes and is great for a variety of cocktails and desserts.

There are many benefits of coconut. Coconut is highly nutritious. It is rich in magnesium, selenium, iron, potassium, vitamins C and B6, and it is good to include it in your diet, not only in cakes and desserts. Drinking coconut milk can prevent onset of cardiovascular disease, mainly due to the ideal composition of fats and oils that act preventively when it comes to abnormal elevated levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. There are much coconut milk nutrition. It contains lauric acid, a fatty acid, which plays an important role in keeping our immune response to a high level. Lauric acid,when is placed in the body, directly activates a substance called monolaurin to destroy viruses and bacteria.

You can easy make your coconut milk at home. Using just a little bit of coconut flour you can get a large quantity of milk. You need: 3/4 cup coconut flour 2 ¼ cups of hot (but not boiling) filtered water, blender, gas, container and jars. Place the coconut in hot water and let it stand for 1 to 2 hours. Then all that slow in a blender, mix well, for about two minutes. Strain the liquid through cheesecloth, well press to squeeze as much liquid from coconuts. And that's how you get milk. The remaining coconut can be used to prepare a cake, and the milk can be kept in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days.
